• STEP 1: Assume the role of the class instructor, and explain to your students the significance of Figure 6.1. Remember to be thorough and detailed, since your students have not been exposed to Figure 6.1 previously.
• STEP 2: In your write-up, clearly articulate the meaning of the figure and how to use it to select a contract type while thoroughly explaining all 5 dimensions of the figure, including Definition of Procured Item, Technology Challenge, Project's Life Cycle, Identified Procurement Risks, Contract Types (Fixed-Price, Time & Materials, Cost). Create a separate paragraph for the description of each of the 5 dimensions to ensure that you are providing adequate detail on each.
• STEP 3: After thoroughly explaining Figure 6.1, be sure to walk the students through a detailed project-related example of how to use it to select a specific contract type. Be sure to directly reference Figure 6.1 and all of its 5 dimensions when you walk the students through the example.
