Step 1: Create a Template
Before you even jump into the research aspect of this activity, take a moment to structure your handout. This way, once you complete the research, it will be simple to insert your findings into your document and add the finishing touches.
Your submissions should be structured as follows (or very similar to this):
- Introduction page
- Your name & name of the handout
- Handout: 10 different guidelines for appropriate courtroom dress and conduct. Make sure your handout includes the following:
- The target group (courtroom professionals, defendants, or jury members)
- One image to accompany each rule
- Explain or describe the reasoning for this guideline in your own words
- Final page includes any websites and resources you used to complete this activity
Step 2: Research, Input, Create
Now that you know what you will need to research, you can start exploring online and seeking out all of the information above.
You may choose to take notes while researching and then input the information into your document afterward, or you may decide to input the information as you find itthe choice is yours!
You are welcome to add your own elements of creativity to the handout or additional pictures and graphics. As long as all of the required information is included, any additional flair is completely acceptable (but not required).
You may use bullet points for the majority of information if you would like, or you may use complete sentences/paragraphs.
