Step 1: Write an essay (minimum of no less than 275 word to 325 words and using your own words, addressing the following prompts:

1. What type of evidence would be needed to refute the stereotypes about aging shown in AgeFeed? Be sure to give and explain your examples.
2. What are two forms that "ageism" can take in terms of ways of thinking about older adults? Be sure to give and explain your examples.
3. Provide your own analysis of why negative attitudes have existed toward older adults in Western society. How might these change in the future? Be sure to give and explain your examples
4. Provide your word count excluding heading and citations.

Step 3: Review your essay to make sure that you:

• Used basic college level writing skills that are not limited to:
  • 1 inch margins and double spacing

  • Simple and concise sentences

  • Mechanics for punctuation and grammar

• Reviewed the grading rubric for the assigned essay.
• Saved your assignment with a name what identifies the subject of the essay.
