In order to impress Linda, Steve bought very expensive gifts to Linda every now and then.On 1 April 2019, Steve proposed to Linda and bought Linda an 86 meter luxury yacht and a 20 carat diamond ring as proposal gifts. Linda took the gifts and told Steve that she would let him know the answer on 1 May 2019. On 28 April 2019, Linda sold all her gifts from Steve for cash and transferred all the cash to her other boyfriend Peter.
Steve ordered a meal to be delivered to Steve's home on the evening of 1 May 2019 and invited Linda alone for the dinner. The meal was prepared by a very expensive restaurant. Linda did not arrive. Instead she called Steve and rejected his proposal. The dinner went to waste.
