Strategic Plan for health Care for Increased Population of Young Women in the Military 

Based on statistics cited in the Women’s Health Sourcebook, the VA documents, “The number of women in VHA [Veterans Health Administration] has been growing rapidly in recent years. This rapid demographic shift highlights the need to assure ample capacity for clinical services necessary for women in their reproductive years and to assure that healthcare providers’ knowledge and skills are up to date in this clinical domain.” 

Write a mission statement that will provide a foundation for a strategic plan designed to address the specific health issues for which young women may require services. Specifically emphasize those services different than those needed by men of the same age. Be certain to include attention to what health care professionals need to provide those required services.
