Specifically, that 8 months is too short of a time frame for students to gain an understanding of Canadian governments, non-profits and the public sector, for professors/instructors to space their assignments to provide enough time for students to complete them and for co-op opportunities to be successful.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Answer the questions in theStrategy Statement Worksheet 37 (below and from pages 157 and 158 in the workbook) using theStrategic Issue identified in the group discussions on Oct. 21Week 6 lecture, Step 5 of the Strategy Change Cycle - Identifying Strategic Issues.
Describe the strategy in enough detail that people can:
- Understand the identified issue and make an informed judgement about it,
- Determine if it is strategic, and
- If it is strategic, what the implications for implementing this change would be for the Public Service Program and for Conestoga College in general.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
- Answer the 7 questions in the Strategy Statement - Worksheet 37, pages 157 and 158 - of the workbook and include them below.
- No more than a three-page double-spaced report.
- Use critical thinking and your own analysis.
- Work independently.
WRITE A STRATEGY STATEMENT FOR A STRATEGIC ISSUE:
The purpose of this assignment is for each studentindividually to gain an understanding of how to develop and to write aStrategy Statement (Worksheet 37, pages 157 and 158 workbook) in enough detail to enable people to determine:
- if an issue is strategic,
- what the implications for implementation are, and
- if the organization should consider this issue as part of the strategic plan.
