Students are required to complete a Sustainability Plan for an actual building (non-residential). You must describe the building and its management practices, assess the current conditions in terms of sustainable facilities management, set goals for improved sustainability, identify opportunities for improvement, and then make recommendations for how to move forward. Do not write in first person.

You should identify sustainability goals for the project that are SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, timely) and appropriate for your facility.

The plan should identify operational improvements and capital improvements. These opportunities should be organized in a manner that makes sense, such as per building system, per environmental or human health benefit, etc. Any claims made should be referenced.
