RQ: Did aseptic technique associate with the Hepatitis B and C outbreaks between 1998-2008?

Hypothesis: Patients with Hepatitis B or C had higher odds of being exposed to aseptic techniques compared to control patients.

In 2010, CDC epidemiologists investigated causes of Hepatitis B and C outbreaks. Using medical records collected in US clinics and hospital nationwide between the years of 1998-2008, the created a group of 5864 Hepatitis B and C cases and then selected another group of 6000 healthy patients who did not have Hepatitis B or C. Then the epidemiologist determined which of the patients had been exposed to poor aseptic techniques and those who were not exposed poor aseptic techniques.
