Study Permit for a Minor

Mr. Sing and his spouse are citizens of India, they have a minor son Alkar Sing, 1, and a daughter Swati Sing, 6, currently residing and attending a primary school in India. The family wishes to educate their daughter in Canada.

An acceptance letter was issued by a private school in Toronto for the 6- year old girl. The family has 3 real estate properties in India (a condominium, a piece of land and a house), has over $125,000.00CAD in savings and fixed deposit accounts and savings accounts at Central Bank of India, IDBI Bank Ltd, and ICICI Bank. In one bank the funds are being held in US currency and in the other two banks in Indian Rupees. The wife Miriam Sing is not employed, and the husband Alkan Sing is a CEO at one of the major international corporation. His salary is $6,500USD per month, the entire family has health insurance. All family members are in possession of multiple entry visitor visas to Canada, valid for five years, but they have not visited Canada yet. Father and mother have visited China and some Middle Eastern countries, but have never travelled to the UK, Canada, or any European country. Mother and daughter had visitor visas to the States issued, but later they were cancelled. Father's application for a visitor visa to the States was refused. The mother and the baby brother will stay with the daughter in Toronto, while father will return to India.
