Dear Felix Vikhman,

I am writing to you based on the article published on April. 20, 2017 Cannabis "Wake and Bake" in The Walrus.

"Increasingly, we see addiction as a medical condition that desires to be treated, instead of symptoms of criminality or significant failures. "Marijuana is generally used as an illicit substance, and it's far often assumed that smoking can be hazardous, however little do people know about its benefits.

Marijuana is a naturally grown plant known to help sick people with cancer, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, physical and mental illnesses, and many more. Like any other substance, like alcohol, abusive and addictive consumption will result in unpleasant physical, mental, social, and spiritual harm to a victim.

Legalizing marijuana has regulated the substance's use and distribution, and now the black market will be less likely to benefit from it. On the other side, our government has imposed taxes and create funds from regulations, beneficial and medical usage of the substance. It should also be approached on another method by legalizing it and getting the benefits it may provide, by regulating the use. I understand the idea you are trying to imply. Nevertheless, Peter is like any other substance abuser. If anything is abused, consequences are expected. You must not look at what is just in front of you, but you must see the entire picture from a more significant perspective.

"For so many in Canada, marijuana is "simply pot." Those people who deal with marijuana's consequences know better. Abuse of marijuana will most likely continue to exist; however, benefits and developments will arise if we learn how to face and evolve on what the world is currently facing.
