a)In State v. Kenney, (May 16, 2014) the Kansas Supreme Court ruled that when (1) an attorney incorrectly explains the appeal rights the defendant gives up when making a plea agreement and (2) the trial judge does not correct that error when accepting the plea agreement, the defendant has the right to withdraw the plea agreement.
