Sue work as a Direct support professional for five years where she provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her job includes, performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks. She also work as a Residential Supervisor, where she work directly with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, provide person centered support; promoting confidentiality, privacy, human dignity, uniqueness, and physical and emotional well-being while supporting the individual to lead a self-directed life. She have been involved in managing and resolving conflicts between coworkers and the individuals within the program, and also some accounting and human resources work.

Before her current job, she has been a police officer/detective for eight years mainly working with children who have been victims of crimes and ensuring that they are placed in a safe environment and receive the necessary help to cope with their trauma. She had also work as a teacher's assistant for four years in a special education classroom.

Sue has completed an associated degree and some advance level college credits.
