Suggestion I've primarily been interested in Human Resources for the development of company policies, particularly in the area of hiring practices. After this course, I'm becoming more interested in the analytics of human resources. I thoroughly enjoyed analyzing the excel spreadsheets to discover patterns and to manipulate the data to best compile the information into specific groups. For example, the project(s) assigned allowed me to discover discrepancies in the payroll and leave based on hours, but also race, sex and age. This task can aid in so many functions of HR. I'd like to utilize this skill in the hiring process at my current company to identify percentages of specific groups of people and how well we're doing with inclusion in our hiring practices and in what ways we can improve.

Within the coming years, human resources will have a heavy focus on technological advancements and how that will impact the workforce. Human resource professionals will have to tailor their approach to onboarding, development, and performance to accommodate these changes, particularly in the area of remote workers. Additionally, the advancement of technology will change the type worked performed. I anticipate we'll have more knowledge workers as opposed to service workers. Development will have to involve continuing education in all aspects, such as software training and effective written communication.
