Introduction

In France the Paris region is Europe's one of the richest regions with GDP over $1 trillion. Which is similar to Indonesia but Higher than Saudi Arabia and Ahead of London. It's also the third highest region in the European Union. And fourth largest metropolitan economy in the world according to the brookings institution in 2011 and first in Europe.

GDP : - In the year 2021 Paris produced US$984 billion at market exchange rates. The GDP in Paris accounted as 31 percent of the GDP of metropolitan France.

  1. Population : - Paris is located in northern central France. The official estimation population of Paris is 2,165,423 counted on 1 January 2022. The density of population is 21,000/km2. At the beginning of 20th century Paris was the largest catholic city in the world. But the French census does not contain any information about the religion of the city. Hence, it is being reported that in 2011 on a survey it was reported that there were about 25% residents are without religion, only 7% people identified as muslim about 500,000 muslims were in the city Paris. Most people in France are of celtic-gallic origin, a mixture of italic (Romans) and Germanic (Franks). It is also estimated that about 40% of the population is immigrants, which is about 6,733,600 a 24% growth from 2009.
  2. Foreign investments : - Since 2014 France foreign investments go up and down. The inflow of direct investment from abroad countries toward France was 22.8 billion euro in 2021. Which is much lower than the amount France invested on foreign countries, France invested max 22.2 billion euro. Germany invests in France most, in the European Union Germany , the United states and China are France's great suppliers and customers. Foreign direct investment in France for 2020 was $13.24 billion, which was a 76.96% decline from 2019. Paris current exchange rate is 1SR = 0.834 euro, 1 Euro = 3SR.
  3. Trade Restrictions : - France has customs duties and Taxes of imports and Tariff. France tariff rate in 2020 was 1.48% a decline of 0.36% from 2019. In Paris the import tax charged on a shipment will be 20% on the full value of the item. Customs duties range from 0-17%, with the general tariff averaging 4.25. In 2021 France exported about $879.70 billion, a 20% increase from 2020. And in 2021 France imported $940.54 billion, a 16.62% increase from 2020. Some of their imported products are subjected to anti-dumping duties. Also Foodstuffs, textiles, and clothing products still have some protection measures as in quotes, higher tariff etc.
  4. Media : - France media was the healthiest after world war-II. Now they have books, newspapers, Television channels, radio channels as well as online social media sites to help them promote their business products. They have daily and regional newspapers. Their daily newspaper is Le Monde, Le Figaro, Le Parisien etc. their Regional Daily newspaper is Le Parisien, Le Montagne. Their main Tv network is M6, France 2-3-4, Arte, Tv5Monde, 24/7 news channel euronews, france 24 and music/ other channels are D17, MCM, D8, TMC, La Chaine Parlementaire. In Radio channels Virgin Radio and Fun Radio (France) is being played popularly.
