You work for a manufacturing company located in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. The product you manufacture requires various inputs from other manufacturers located in North America, however one critical component, Lithium is not available in North America. This soft, light mineral is mined mainly in Australia, Chile, and Argentina.

You have been tasked to obtain a stable source of Lithium for your company within 224 days. It is estimated that you will require up to 1000 tons of Lithium. The budget for obtaining this required material has been set as $400,000.

Your company requires the delivery of the 1000 tons of material over the calendar year. This material to delivered in bulk to the Port of Vancouver. For the purposes of this project there is only one company that will handle the unloading and shipment of this material from Vancouver to Winnipeg.

The main project goal is to find and source the supplier of the material that can best fit your company's requirements. You are to consider the political and economical climate, the transportation from the supplier as well as the various modes of transportation to deliver this product to your factory in Winnipeg.
