Supporting the implementation of inclusive learning experiences

Purpose

This assessment task is designed to assess your skills and knowledge in supporting the implementation of inclusive learning experiences.

Requirements

To complete this assessment task, you need:

access to a children's services environment

to answer the questions and submit responses as directed by your trainer/assessor/training organisation.

National Quality Standard Element 1.1.2 states that 'Each child's current knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities and interests are the foundation of the program'.

1. Describe an experience you have planned and implemented that supported this element and focused on the customs and beliefs of a child and their family.

Your description should include:

the culture of the family/child

the custom

the beliefs that are connected to the custom

the celebrations that are linked to the culture

how this experience was implemented into the program

How you will use the experience to build on the children's understanding of each other
