recovers. The perfect compensation principle says that the person should be compensated a sum

of money sufficient to make the victim of an injury equally well off with the money and the

injury as he or should would have been without the money or the injury. How can this principle

be applied to the burn? Why do you expect actual compensation to be imperfect?
