suppose that the co-op is offering $30 per pound for jerky and amnages to buy x=500 pounds at that price. producers would have been willing to supply much of that jerkly for less than $30 per pound. for instance, we can see from the supply functoin that 400 pounds would have been supplied for $26 per pound or less and that 300 pounds would have been supplied for $22 per pound or less
