. Suppose that we are interested in collecting and storing information in a database
concerning traffic citations in a particular state. Much of this information is available on
the correction notice (ticket) that is given to the driver. A driver can receive one or more
correction notices. The database needs to record facts about the driver such as their last
name, first name, address, gender, birth date, height, weight, eye color, and their
signature from the notice. The correction notice records the month, date, year, and time
of the occurrence. In addition, the district and precinct is recorded. A GPS referencing
system is used to indicate latitude and longitude of the location of the citation, which also
includes a description of the nearest point of interest, and the street name. Each notice
indicates one or more violations. Each violation has a description. The vehicle involved
in the violation also needs to be recorded. A vehicle may have been involved in many
citations. The vehicle is identified by its vehicle identification number and is described by
its license plate number, the state issuing the license plate, its make, model or type, and
its year. Since the owner of a vehicle may not be the driver, the registered owner and
their address might be recorded for the vehicle. Assume that a vehicle has only one
registered owner. Information about the police officer issuing the notice will also be
recorded, including the personnel number and name. Provide an ERD for this situation.
