Of the remaining individuals, 5,000 are employed with full-time jobs; 3,000are employed part-time, but wish to work full-time; 1,000 are underemployed at full-time jobs; 1,000 are currently not working but are looking for work; and the remainder are discouraged workers. In this particular case, can you explain why unemployment rate is not a perfect measure for joblessness? (Hint: please do not copy the two reasons from notes; they are not correct in the case.)
