Takealot is an online ecommerce company that specialises in selling a variety of products online including furniture, electric appliances, computers and household appliances.

For any user who would like to make a purchase on their website, they need to first register on their site. They allow two classes of people to register, namely buyers and sellers.

To register, the website requires the person to enter their full name, their address, cell number and email address. For the seller, the sellers are allowed to list their products that they would like to advertise on the website. It doesn't matter how many products the seller would like to list, as the sellers can list as many products as they like. A product list webpage is used to list the products. The product list webpage requires the seller to enter the category of the product, the price of the product as well as the condition of the product $-$ whether it is brand new or used.

Once a prospective buyer gets on the website, they can search for the products using the website's built$-$in search engine. A buyer can specify the search type by searching the product title, product brand, product category and product keyword. Once the buyers find the product they want, they can add it to the cart, then proceed to pay for the product by making use of a credit card or EFT. In order to do this, they should be registered on the website.

Payment of the product is done securely$.$ Once the payment is complete, the website marks the product as sold and then sends an email to both the buyer and seller. The buyer is informed that the purchase was successful and receives an order number. The seller is then informed that a buyer purchased a particular product with specified product details. The system keeps the order from the buyer open until the product has been shipped to the buyer.

Once the seller receives notification of the purchase made by the buyer, the seller should inform the buyer via email that they acknowledge the purchase within two days. Afterwards, the seller should send the product purchased to the buyer within $24$ hours. Next, the seller should then notify the buyer and Takealot via email that the shipment has been made.

The Takealot website is responsible for maintaining the list of the products shipped. The website at the end of each month notifies all sellers of the products that might have the "shipped" status for the whole month. The Takealot website gives the buyer a $30-$day period to return the product should the wrong product be sent or the condition of the product is not as was advertised on the website. Each seller is provided with a rating on the website in order to make the buyers aware of the rating of the seller when it comes to selling their products.
