As the Contract Manager for the $25M school cleaning contract, you will be responsible for tracking several budget and schedule items that require proficient use of excel. This work requires attention to detail. Youll frequently asked to summarize information and to provide high-level.

For this task, please note there are two types of cleaning positions with different pay rates:

Cleaner I: an entry level

Senior Cleaner: experienced

Assume cleaner types are present for all hours (regular and extracurricular). The attached data shows how many cleaner hours we project for the upcoming school year.

Task:

There is an upcoming 2050-2051 fiscal budget hearing for a local council. You are required to submit budget information to the council, and, during the hearing, the council president will answer questions on the proposed budget. To prepare for the hearing, the council president has requested you prepare:

An excel document: Using the data set attached, please calculate the projected spend per school and across the district for the school cleaning contract for 2050-2051. Please show your work (include formulas) in the spreadsheet. Please include a breakdown of cost by cleaner type and contract hour type in your calculations.

Prepare speaking notes for the council president for the budget hearing. The speaking notes should be no more than 1 page, brief sentences and bullet points. Include tables/graphs. The speaking notes are to support the council president during the hearing as they respond to questions about the school cleaning allocations and budget for 2050-2051.
