Tami-Lynn and Ted, a legally married couple, owned a nice house and surrounding land (the property). They owned the property through a deed issued in fee simple defeasible. Tom owned the reversionary interest in the property. Ted executed a deed that purported to transfer his interest in the property to John. Ted also executed a will which provided that, on his death, his interest in the property would be transferred to Donny. At the same time, Tami-Lynn executed both a deed that purported to transfer her interest in the property to Patrick, and a will which provided that, upon her death, all her assets would be transferred to Samantha.
