TASK 1 (Continuous Probability Distributions): (7 Marks) i. find a graph of a continuous probability distribution on the internet and describe what it tells you ii. you must use the knowledge of terminology from Data Management that you have recently learned as part of your discussion. iii. you must assess how good the data in your distribution appears to be based on the measures of central tendency that you have recently learned. iv. you must do 1 exact calculation (not using Empirical Rule) that shows your knowledge and understanding of continuous probability distributions. For example, you could calculate a z-score for a particular value, or determine the probability of getting a value within a given range, or find the percentage of the data that is above or below a point.Below is an example of a distribution I found on the internet. I will use it as an example of how to fulfill each section of Task 1. Distribution of Pizza Delivery Times Normal. Mean=30. 51Dev-5 -3 50 -2 50 -1SD 1 50 250 0.03 n.n... Density 0.03- 0.02- 0.00 15 25 40 45 Minutes i. This probability distribution shows how pizza delivery times vary for a local pizza delivery service. ii./iii. The data appears to be reasonably distributed around a mean wait time of 30 minutes. The standard deviation of 5 minutes means that 95% of all customers will receive their pizza within 40 minutes of ordering iv. Although I already did a rough calculation, it is only a rough estimate based on Empirical Rule (95% = within 2 standard deviations). If I wanted to know the probability of getting my pizza in less than 35 minutes, I could calculate a z-score and then look up the proportion of orders filled before 35 minutes passes. The z-score for 35 minutes is 1.00, which is associated with a probability of 84.13%%. This means approximately 84% of all customers will get their pizza before 35 minutes passes
