Demonstrate acknowledgement of and respect the needs of people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds in at least three different situations:

• use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication to meet audience needs and prevent misunderstanding
• remedy misunderstandings if they do occur

This might involve:

• participating in entry or exit interviews
• participating in case management meetings and activities
• helping clients or work colleagues solve problems
• providing for the physical needs of clients (meals, moving, bathing etc)
