My cousin Gemma is about to start a data science degree and my aunt and uncle are planning to buy a new laptop for her as a surprise. They are willing to spend up to 1500. What should they buy and why? Your task is to write a short report proposing a purchase outlining the pros and cons of your selection for Gemma's needs. Focus on the details of the processor and systems infrastructure such as memory, caches, storage, ports. Is the operating system relevant? The report should be suitable for a layperson without much computer knowledge of the capabilities of the proposed purchase, but contain enough technical detail that they will definitely buy the right machine. Please note that if you use a diagram/chart that is already available, you must reference its source rather than claim it as your own. The report should be around 500 words (plus or minus 100 words) (excluding the diagrams and tables). Overlong reports will be down-graded.
