Task: Plan an imaginary trip to a country that uses a different currency than the US Dollar. This can be as close as Mexico, or as far away as China! You will present this country and your plan on Powerpoint (Google Slides), a word doc or even a simple website if you are technologically inclined.

The assignment is already outlined for you below. Follow each step and add it to your PPT, Word Doc, or Website to complete the assignment.

Decide where you want to go and why. Write this in a sentence or two and add a picture. Look up the current exchange rate for US dollars to the local currency. Tell if the country has a stronger or weaker currency than the US. (Explain if your US dollars will have more or less purchasing power. Will items seem more or less expensive than in the US?) Find a place to stay! Try looking up a hotel in a major city you want to visit, and find the price to book a room for 3 nights. You get to choose your budget, so the hotel can be as affordable or expensive as you would like . Give the price in both US dollars AND local currency. Be sure to use the exchange rate! Add a picture of the place you will stay. Find some food! Look up the menu for a restaurant that sounds appealing to you, and price out a meal. Give the cost in both US dollars and local currency. Be sure to use the exchange rate! Add a picture of the meal. Try to choose something that this country is known for!
