Assignment Details

The Module 4 assignment is the culmination of everything you experienced in this course with a focus on education and social equity and reform. In this paper, you will combine course information with personal perspectives.

This assignment has several parts. To receive full credit, you must completely address each section based on material from the entire course (with particular emphasis on the materials in this module).I am expecting three- to five-pages, well-written (flows well and error-free), and double-spaced paper in APA formatting throughout. You need to include citations and you must follow APA protocol for both in-text citations and references (Owl Purdue(https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/10/.)). Be sure to include and title and reference page in APA formatting. Part 1

• How will you will be a social change agent for educational, social, and equity change in our nation's schools? (It is a broad topic!)
• Includethe historical perspectives of education and social change. In addition to materials you reviewed in this module, you may want to conduct brief research (it is only a suggestion, not required).

Part 2

• Explain your honest perspectives of teachers as agents of social change and educational reform.
• How has the education system historically marginalized specific groups of students?
  • Who are students who have benefitted or failed specifically because of systems (either historical or current) that has been in place?
• What changes do you believe need to be made to better support students, not only in the education system, but in society as a whole? (Use references to support your thinking).

Part 3

• How might you include curriculum that addresses social equity and justice. (Include at least 1 lesson plan idea.)
  • Explore Learning for Justice (https://www.learningforjustice.org/) for curriculum ideas. You can use a lesson plan already outlined here, or create your own.

Remember to begin with a clear introduction, paragraphs that respond to each point, and a concluding paragraph that pulls your work together. You can write one introduction and conclusion and address both parts within the body of your writing. In all you MUST include;

• At least 3 full pages of writing
• A title page in APA formatting
• A reference page in APA formatting (at least 5 pages in all)
• In-text citations in APA formatting (within the content of your writing).
  • You need to reference any time you are pulling information from an outside source, including course material.
  • If you are using a direct quote, include page numbers.
