Group members immediately turned their attention to Andrew's sales report, the focus of the meeting. The report contained bad news-the small candy company was losing sales. Andrew asked for ideas on how to improve sales. After discussion of the sales report, Craig complained about the candy wrappers and recommended design and color changes. Kim said she liked Craig's idea and asked him to make a rough sketch of some designs. Also, she recommended selling the candy through mail-order catalogs since going through grocery stores put the business in competition with the nation's biggest candy makers. Andrew said the ideas offered by Craig and Kim were excellent. Mark, however, said more needed to be done. He recommended new flavor combinations to make the candy special and different, Mark was asked to repeat his flavor ideal, so the meeting summary written by Craig would include them. Jarrod noticed that the next group of employees scheduled to use the conference room were waiting outside the door. He recommended ending the Friday meeting early and scheduling a brainstorming session for Monday morning at 9:00.
