Technologies and future of Canada China trade

Emerging technologies are at the forefront of how economies and societies will grow and transform. Key technologies that will shape the future of the global economy, and that Canada and China have vested interests in, include biotechnology, industrial robotics, artificial intelligence, information and communications technology, and cyber security. While trade and investment between Canada and China in these technologies is still embryonic, proactive engagement now can lead to establishing future global norms in their trade and use (Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, 2021, p. 19).

Exchanging the technologies between countries also benefit the national welfare of the country.
