Terra Inc. is a large company that makes top-quality sporting goods equipment and expensive adult outdoor clothing. The company decided to treat its employees to a special weekend at a wilderness resort, The Rock Inn. The first evening there, Terra had a welcome party outdoors on the lawn and there was lots of free alcohol and food. One Terra worker, Jake, had about 8 beers, and then when the party ended, he decided to walk around the grounds of the Rock Inn. He accidentally tripped over a patio chair, which had not been put away by the resort, and fell in the swimming pool. He hit his head and was face down in the pool for several minutes until Lisa, another Terra employee, saw him. Lisa pulled Jake out, but Jake has suffered permanent brain damage and will never work again. Lisa was also affected by this accident and her doctor says she can only work 2 days a week for the next 6 months while she recovers from the shock of this event.
