Terrence was feeling very stressed as he had just lost his job. He decided to visit his friend Pamela. He rang the doorbell several times and when Pamela did not answer the door, he used the spare key to open the door and enter her house.

Pamela had earlier told Terrence that she placed a spare key under the flowerpot in the event there was an emergency and Terrence needed to gain entry into her house. Thinking Pamela would not mind, he helped himself to some sandwiches in the kitchen. He then went upstairs to Pamela's bedroom. He lit several candles. He tried on Pamela's new Rolex watch. He decided to borrow it to wear to an appointment he had later on that day. He then tried on Pamela's new black dress causing it to stretch out of shape.

Terrence heard voices downstairs and realised that Pamela had come home with some friends. Horrified, Terrence grabbed his clothes and left through the window, knocking over some candles. The curtains caught fire and part of the house was destroyed. Pamela and her friends managed to escape unhurt.

Discuss Terrence's criminal liability, if any.
