Terry is an artist. Gerry is a computer programmer. Both are interested in artificial intelligence. Working together they have developed an AI called, "NM8". NM8 takes any landscape or abstract painting and uses for creation of digital world. The colour scheme will match the painting. The world will include elements from the painting and new elements created in the style of the painting. NM8 also creates a single player game to be played in that world. NM8 was trained to create games using: (1) video of volunteers playing an assortment of classic arcade games in Gerry's lab; and (2) videos of game play found online.

Terry and Gerry intend to commercialize three of these games - bringing the game worlds to life using augmented reality. The elements will be placed into the environment of the player, and filters will be applied to some of the elements in the real world so that they match the colour scheme and style of the game.

The first of the games is based on the painting "The Starry Night" by Vincent van Gogh (painted in June 1889). The second of the games is based on one of Terry's paintings (painted in 2020 and sold to a collector in the same year). The third game is based on a few images by Banksy created between 2010 and 2021.
