I plan an elaborate heist in my head- I think up the best way to rob the Dinkytown Target and plan to act on it the following Friday... but oh crap, I broke my leg and will be unable to rob the Dinkytown Target for quite some time. Does the principle of concurrence exist in this situation?

Principle of concurrence: The principle of concurrence means that some mental fault has to trigger the criminal act in conduct crimes and the cause in result crimes. So all crimes, except strict liability offenses, are subject to the concurrence requirement.
