Thabang is a young up-and-coming entrepreneur from Thohoyandou. Thabang used all the money she saved while working as a beauty therapist to open a beauty spa in a township. The R200 000,00 that she won in the SAB kick-start entrepreneurship competition provided the funding to open four more beauty spas in other townships 3 years after the first spa was opened in 2015. As so many young entrepreneurs do, Thabang found it difficult to obtain financing from conventional sources. Today she has three investors, two with the share of 10% each and one with a 5% share, who meet her financial needs.
