Thank you for agreeing to help us with our little IT problem. We are a growing library system and have, until now, been relying on Excel spreadsheets. Unfortunately, we$$ve had a number of instances of corrupt sheets and some fistfights related to the question of who was next in line for new books. We cannot afford to use existing commercial system. We$$ve engaged you to build us a simple system and front end. It$$s my understanding $($from speaking with my barber$$s son, who is a CS student at Farmingdale$)$ that you will need to build something called a $$database$$ as well as a $$front end$($whatever that is$).$
