Hot water on the shell side enters at 100C with a mass flowrate of 4000kg/h. The overall heat transfer coefficient is 1200W/m2K. Take the heat capacity of oil as 2200J/kg and that for water as 4200J/kg. (a) Calculate the heat exchanger area required for this operation. (b) The flow rate of oil is cut to 2000kg/h, which reduces the overall heat transfer coefficient to 800W/m2K. The inlet temperatures of the two streams and the heat exchanger area remain the same. Calculate the exit temperature of the oil and the water under this new situation
