Though, people may think that change is just pushing through a specific culture change and thinking everyone will follow through, but that is far from the truth. Those that are part of the coalition to change must understand the stages of learning/change. Schein in Organizational Culture and Leadership, talks about Unfreezing, Learning, and Internalizing (2010). I believe that the more a group understands those things that may happen they can prepare better to situations that are counterintuitive to what is being newly instilled. There has been an enormous amount of change within my office both at a higher level and in my branch. My branch split into two. The discipline of Knowledge Management became our purpose.
