I know the Sum is 48

(x-2) + (x) +( x+2) =48

x +(x+2)+(x+4)=48

3x+54

x= 18 the smallest integer of the three consecutive integers 18 16 14 of the sum of 48 but this is the wrong. Can someone please explain what I did wrong in this equation
