The advantages of many levels of subnational governments in the United States include checks and balances and flexibility. Checks and balances are achieved because there are many governing forces between local and federal levels. This, in return, shows flexibility, which is significant for regional areas and gives those smaller voices a chance to manage in ways that better suit the needs of those communities. By allowing some independent decisions, communities can govern to accommodate requirements for the choice of well-beingdecisions on allocating funds to areas in community services that are more needed than others. In contrast, some disadvantage of subnational governments Is that they can be politically motivated to make decisions that may not be best suited to govern communities with the open-mindedness that is sometimes needed for creating more critical decisions for policy changes or fund allocations to help communities in need. An example of a different mindset in political sidedness is that on a more conservative side, the typical belief is that what matters most is more of a sink-or-swim society and pro-life. On the more liberal side, the worries are more centrally located with climate change or a pro-choice mindset. I believe term limits have more advantages
