The analyses performed in Report Questions W1 and W2 are based on Geometrical Optics. Is the analysis of Report Question W3 based on Geometrical or Physical Optics, or both? Define Geometrical and Physical Optics, and explain. You may refer to your textbook concemning Geometrical and Physical Optics (please note that in other Physics textbooks, Physical Optics is known as \"Wave Optics\"). W3. (@) (b) () @ Compare the measured Indices of Refraction obtained in Report Question W2 (above) with the accepted Indices of Refraction of Lucite (1.49), glass (1.52), and water (1.33). Determine the percentage differences and comment. Which value had the least percentage error and which had the largest percentage error? Explain your results. Are the observations made in Steps AP-1 and AP-2 consistent with what the accepted values of the Indices of Refraction indicate? Show why it was difficult to tell which way the ray was bent in Step AP-2. Do this by calculating the refraction angle for an incident angle of 40 for both Lucite and glass. Discuss the results of your calculation based on calculated refraction angles. Is the difference observable? In which medium among the three involved in Step BP-4 does light travel the fastest: Lucite, glass, or water? Explain your reasoning. According to the Law of Reflection, the Angles of Incidence and Reflection are always equal. As an additional Error Analysis check, compare the values of these quantities that you obtained in Steps BP-1 through BP-4 by computing the percentage error in each case. Are your results consistent with those obtained for the corresponding percentage errors in Report Question W3, Part (a) above
