The article "Getting Beyond Counting" (GBC) articulates a vision of the accountant as an information professional. Read this article and then search the Internet for online articles from the professional accounting literature (not newspaper articles) that demonstrate an accountant working in a way advocated by the GBC; in other words find an article about an accountant functioning as an artist, an educator, or a visionary. Accounting journals and websites contain an abundance of articles that describe accountants functioning in these positions. They also contain informational or training pieces that give the accountant tools to work in one of these roles.

1) Give the name of the article, the name of the periodical (publication) in which it appears, and the URI (web address) of the article.

2) In the discussion section, write two paragraphs: The first paragraph should summarize the content of your online article giving the main points and conclusions. Make sure that any language taken from the article is properly cited, i.e. in quotation marks. The second paragraph should discuss your article in light of the recommendations of GBC. How does it illustrate the points made in GBC?
