The Baltimore Arena, formerly known as Royal Farms Arena, is the city's largest indoor sports and performance venue and is undergoing a $150M renovation, including overhauled concourses, 30 to 40 new suites, upgraded concessions, a new dazzling glass exterior and increased seating to accommodate up to 15,000 guests. The arena can also be used as a companion or flex space to the Baltimore Convention Center for groups needing additional space. An accelerated construction plan is expected to be completed within the year, just in time to host the 2023 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournament.
