The Bihar government has recently roped in workers under the JEEViKA scheme to manufacture face masks to help fight the battle against coronavirus.

JEEViKA didi at various places in the state started manufacturing two type of masks, one is general and another of N95 standards. The regular mask sells for 25.00 per unit and the N95 for 40.00 per unit.

JEEViKA wishes to maximize daily contribution i.e., sales price - cost.

A regular mask requires two hours of labour and five hours of processing to manufacture.

An N95 mask requires four hours of labour and four hours of processing. Each N95 mask also contains a N95 mask assembly. Tomorrow they only have the availability of 1600 hours of labour, 1800 hours of processing and 350 N95 mask assemblies.

Labour costs are 5.00 per hour, processing costs are 1.00 per hour and each N95 mask assembly costs 1.00. From the urgency of the situation they must produce a minimum of 150 N95 each day.

Using excel solver to solve the profit maximisation problem of the JEEViKA unit.
