In order to test the effectiveness of Sanguine Relief, 60 volunteers who have been diagnosed with hypertension agreed to take part in the experiment. Twenty of the volunteers were randomly assigned to receive vehicle (no actual drug) for 8 weeks. Another 20 volunteers were randomly assigned to receive 40 mg of Sanguine relief for 8 weeks. Additionally, the final 20 volunteers were randomly assigned to receive 80 mg of Sanguine relief for 8 weeks. At the end of the 8 weeks, all participants were clinically evaluated for hypertension using a sphygmomanometer (blood pressure monitor)
