Refer to complete APA Guidelines resources on Bb in the folder titled "Case Studies / SA". Do you believe that this case presents a legal or ethical problem, or both? Why? Are there some medical conditions that should prevent a person from working in a hospital or other medical setting? What should have been done when Janet's co-workers shunned her? Was the physician that helped Janet when she had a seizure correct in asking the hospital administrator to dismiss (fire) her? Should Janet be given the opportunity to work in surgery? Why or why not? Note: The answers to the questions are discussed throughout all chapters of the textbook - not only Chapter 8. Refer to previous chapters when formulating your answers to the questions. Papers will be graded via SAFE ASSIGN (SA). This means you must cite outside sources if used in your paper. Do not copy any text verbatim. Try to summarize in your own words and then cite from where the idea came. Use proper quotations and citations when quoting a text. Once you have submitted your paper to SAFE ASSIGN, the software will scan its database and generate a percentage match for your paper. If your paper reaches a 30% match threshold with another text or paper, you will receive a 10-point reduction from your final grade. Egregious matches of 50% or more will be treated as a form of plagiarism and will result in a 0% as per NYCCT plagiarism policy. Do not plagiarize or heavily paraphrase in your papers.
