The CCCR assignments are an opportunity to gather all that you have gained over the past few weeks. Put it together:

- collect your thoughts

- what has your learning sparked?

- to what have you connected your thoughts and learning?

- make sense of it for yourself & share that with your reader.

THE TWO READINGS ARE:

The first reading was "Who's Afraid of Race Theory?" by Derrick A. Bell, and the second was "Discourse on Colonialism" by Airne Cesaire.

20 THESIS	Formulate a clear thesis statement that drives the focus of your CCC RESPONSES.
60 BODY INTRODUCTION/ EVIDENCE & ANALYSIS/ CONCLUSION	In this section, demonstrate your YOUR insights, YOUR analysis. Make sure to go beyond being informational. In other words, don't just tell me what it says, tell me what it means; articulate your analysis of the content; articulate connections you see. Document your analysis AND insights - cite page numbers, your sources, etc. Connect how and where you see the READINGS intersect with the FILMS you've screened. Connect to larger socio-political, socio-economic and socio-cultural matters outside the Course Readings and Films. Select TWO (2) READINGS/authors - one from WEEKS 7 & 8 - to connect and analyze your DISCOVERY PROJECT SUBJECT. You may cite the sources from the Video Lecture for those weeks as THIRD or FOURTH sources, but you must reference/use two from the READINGS FOR THE WEEK.
20 OVERALL ORGANIZATION & MECHANICS	CCCR is clear, engaging and substantive. Wording is precise. Course terminology, ideas, theories, content is used effectively. Good grammar, no spelling errors or typos.
