The change that I would like to implement onto a situation is one such as I manage a screen-printing company and we are going from hand screening all of the T-Shirts to having a machine that automates the process. I would not be losing employees due to this automation I would just be changing how some of their jobs work and what they are doing on a day to day. The Disadvantages of the Lewiston model is that it doesn't focus on the well being of the employees and will easily come to pushing the employees into a job that they might not want to do. The advantage of this model is that it will efficiently focus on implementing the new process of screen printing into the workforce. The disadvantage of Kotter's model is that it focuses on the process and getting it rolling out and working while it can quickly glance over the detail of what each worker needs to be doing given that they will have a changing job process.
