The changes for technology diffusion change in much the same way.Technology diffusion is the process by which an innovation is communicated and taken up over time. There are four factors that affect diffusion. These are the degree of innovation, communication about the new technology to users, time, and the characteristics of human resources. So a good example is a new technology being introduced to your business office, that technology is deployed one department at a time to get the department using the new tech.Soon you have multiple departments using the new tech.Depending on how quickly this technology is deployed determines the path of the s-curve.Finally, the s-curve peaks out, and deployment of the new technology peaks as well. The S-curve slowly flattens out as less adoption is happening.
