The Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants-Ghana (CIAMC), is an Examining, Licensing and Regulatory Professional Body established in Ghana, under the Professional Bodies Registration decree, 1973, N.R.C.D. 143 as a body corporate. The Institute seeks to promote and further the cause of high professionalism in the practice of Administration and Management Consultancy through life-long leaming opportunities. its international professional collaborators include the International Professional Managers Association of the United Kingdom, Design and Technology and Management Society International of South Africa (DTMSI), and the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO) based in Geneva. In the West Africa sub-region it is in collaboration with the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (IMCON) CIAMC is also in collaboration with Swiss Management Centre University of Switzerland (an NAB- accredited University in Ghana). Through this collaboration it has expanded and streamlined its professional programmes for members to be awarded both academic and professional certificates. The expanded programme enables members to acquire broad knowledge in management and leadership and practical problem solving skills to address the complex problems and challenges of administration, govemance and business as a whole. its curricula, programmes and examinations, have been structured such that a member who has successfully completed qualifies as a Professional Chartered Administrator and Chartered Management Consultant CIAMC has offices in Accra (head office) and Kumasi to take care of operations in Southern Ghana and also one satellite office in Tamale to cover Northern Ghana. The Institute has membership across the whole country. As at end of 2013 members in good standing was 269 having dropped from 286 in 2012. It is currently operating a medium term Strategic Plan (2014-2019), annual action plans and budgets.
